I believe these are a dupe for a popular brand. I recieved the teardrop shaped one. I've tried and wet and dry - there doesn't seem to be too much difference when applying foundation so I have been using it dry. It is not particularly squishy soft - but the outer fibers are soft. It does make a small amount of foundation go a very long way, so you can use much less. It also seems much faster than a brush or traditional sponge. On a few occasions, depending on the foundation I've used, I did follow up the application with a paddle brush to blend in some spots. Up to now I have preferred brush application over sponges but I am really liking this sponge. I washed it once so far and it cleaned up nicely. I would definitely recommend it. It did take a few weeks to arrive.
