I like this kohl pencil. I prefer kohl as they go one softer and smoother. This delivers on that, but I’ve been looking for a true brown and this is a bit blacker than a true brown.The pencil is not as soft when applying compared to other eye liner pencils and I was surprised by the darkness of the color blue as well as green. Using more pressure it goes on nicely and wears wellThe color stays true thru the entire day.I love it and so will any horse lover.This is a great color for green eyed people.This comes in a a nice outer product box. Mine was smushed during shipping, but not a big deal. It is made in Germany. The ingredients are listed on the back. The product page says it’s cruelty free, but there is no cruelty free logo and it doesn’t state that it’s cruelty free on the packaging at all.One end has the pencil, the other end has a smudger with a cap over it. This pencil needs to be sharpened. Sometimes pencils with smudgers on one end like this will have a sharpener built in. This one unfortunately does not.I got the shade “Starlight.” It is a silver metallic. It does have very fine glitter pieces in it. I didn’t even notice it at first, just thought it was metallic. It was creamy, glides onto the skin, but looked kind of chunky. But, then when I looked closer I noticed it wasn’t chunky, it was the little glitter pieces. Then, when I wiped it off, I could see glitter pieces left behind too.It smudges nicely if you do it immediately after drawing the line. You definitely want to smudge immediately after doing the line, not wait any time because it doesn’t take long to set and then you won’t be able to smudge it. I did find with this shade that if I smudged it too much, it would just look like glitter. I was able to smudge it slightly with a light hand to keep the silver color. But I’m guessing smudging probably works better with different colors that aren’t so light like this one.I did swatches on my forearm. I first just did 1 swipe, a regular line. Then I did another single swipe and smudged it slightly. Then I scribbled some to really show the color. Then I scribbled some more and smudged that slightly. You can see in the photos, at least I think you can, the glitter pieces. Personally, I don’t like the idea of those being near my eyes and falling in throughout the day. The little bit of time I wore this, I ended up getting some of the glitter in my eye and it was uncomfortable.Overall, I think this is a nice pencil eyeliner! It glides on without skipping, and has good pigment. It works well on the eyes. I just wish it was metallic without the glitter. It might just be the color I got makes the glitter so noticeable, I’m not sure. Even so, I don’t like the glitter pieces. They don’t seem fully mixed even. Like they just sit in the product, so they fall out easily? Not sure if that makes sense. I don’t like them near my eyes since the one time I wore it for a short time I got glitter in my eye. It’s currently $13, which I think is pricey for an eyeliner when there’s so many great ones at the drugstore for much less. Personally, I’d go for those over this one. I just don’t like the glitter. But, if you don’t mind the glitter and you see a color you like, the formula is good.The forest green color is almost a teal, which comes very close to matching my own eye color. It goes on smoothly and has decent staying power on oily skin.I ordered this eyeliner in Tropical Turquoise as I like a little warm blue on my lids occasionally when I go out. That color really seems to make my blue eyes pop.This eyeliner is about 6" long. It has a waxy pencil-type liner on one end and a spongy pointed smudger on the other. This is one of those eyeliners that you will need to sharpen yourself. The turquoise shade is a beautiful shade, but because it is a waxy pencil, it does skip when applying it. It helps to use a primer and powder the lid to absorb oil before using. I do not go heavy on the blue color...just a touch, so I do not mind going over an area. If you plan to line your entire lid with this color, you just need to learn proper application technique and expect a slightly different look from other types of liners.This eyeliner pencil comes in a lot of pretty colors. I would recommend picking one out and giving it a try to brighten your look. 4 stars.Shame. I like the look of this eyeliner and the fact that it comes with a pencil tip to blend it but it bleeds a lot. So much transfer from eyeline onto under eye. Shame.Item came in fast. Goes on smooth and stays on all day. Doesn't bleed. Great colour.
